PLAY invites Patta & Mo Manager

PLAY is a brand new initiative showcasing international music and film in a festival setting. This 4-day event highlights selected motion pictures, documentaries, short films, music videos and more, blurring the lines between the art of cinema and sound. The program also contains various concerts, showcases, masterclasses, talkshows and Q&A with guest speakers.

Patta and Mo Manager have been invited to compile a program for November 18th as part of this event, and have put together a PLAY list containing a broad selection of music performances and documentaries: DJ performances by the UK’s James Lavelle (Mo’ Wax, UNKLE), Don Letts (director, Big Audio Dynamite), assisted by Amsterdam’s Cinnaman and Vic Crezée. Documentaries include the surreal comedic short film “Fight For Your Right Revisited” by the Beastie Boys and “N.A.S.A.“, which documents the making of the duo’s debut album “The Spirit of Apollo“.

PxK Contest

Attention all extended Team Patta members!

Winter is coming and we want to strap everyone in for what looks to become one crazy cold season. So if you have tried to keep up to date with the latest moves that we have been making, you might have noticed that our newest collaboration together with KangaROOS will release this week. Warm and durable, these shoes seem like the ideal choice for the upcoming temperatures and weather conditions.

Of course, we are all really excited about this release, and to share all the excitement with our extended family, we are going to give away a pair of the PxK Hiking Collection to one of you lucky individuals! But, we thought that just giving away a shoe might be too easy, so in order for you to create your own luck, we devised this little contest here:

“Send us a picture of a Patta product (anything goes: footwear collaborations, apparel, headwear, stickers, lighters etc.) in a creative setting or crazy location, and then we will post them on this blog and pick out the best one. The winner gets to pick a pair of choice from the PxK Collection. Creativity, inventiveness, humor and of course brashness will be rewarded.”

Menno Kok – Tokens of Nostalgia 1999-2009

With his work, Menno creates a collection of signs and images in which random snapshots, personal experiences and cinematic stills seem to ignite and reinforce each other. Interweaving the arbitrary with the divinely beautiful. This database of analogue stills epitomizes Menno’s flair for turning his surroundings into his personal poetry be it public domain, a hotel room or en-route. It is an intuitive urge to collect that drives Menno to take these tokens of nostalgia with him.

On Friday November 4, 2011, Wearevoid will officially open her doors to celebrate this occasion we would love to invite you to our opening night. Starting at 18:00 till 23:00. Patta x KangaROOS PxK Collection

Patta and KangaROOS are proud to present the PxK Hiking Collection. This debut release from the on-going collaboration between us and the Pirmasens-based brand involves redeveloped and retooled versions of the archived K2 and Woodhollow models. Both hiking boots have been reworked and updated by applying CORDURA® Nylon fabrics and premium leathers in winter ready colorways. Alongside the trademark KangaROOS pocket, all models also feature subtle detailing in the form of colored eyelets, rubber PxK tabs and double branding on the outsole and woven labels. In addition to the custom PxK packaging, the Woodhollow models also include a double branded Victorinox Swiss Army Pocket Knife.

The PxK Hiking Collection is set to release at Patta November 5th in store and online and will retail for €130,00 each.

Worldwide releasedate is November 12 and selected retailers include: Avenue,
Brothers & Sisters, Colette, CNCPTS, Footpatrol, Hanon, Norse Store, Overkill, Pigalle and Sneakersnstuff.

Pane’s People Think I’m Cool

Precinct Five is proud to present the works of Stefano ‘Pane’ Monfelli alongside the presentation of his book People Think I’m Cool. Pane is an Amsterdam-based artist from Italy working in the field of painting, drawing and sculpture. Precinct Five will host a special event to showcase the works and present the book on Thursday October 27th.
