Once In a Lifetime Groove

cover

This blend was once done live by Queensbridge DJ Hot Day and released as a 12" in 1987 with 2 Super Kids joint on the flipside. Many thought it was an MJ joint, which isn't too far off, since Rod Temperton wrote the song. Despite the rather raw and shitty sound quality and blend going off beat, this was one of the first Hip Hop-beat/R&B-acapella blends and a staple in the NY club and mixtape scene. My man DJ Edzon is a big fan of this joint, so I took all the seperate parts and redid it for us to enjoy and play.
