"Coup De Foudre" is a group exhibition put together by artists Daniëlle van Ark and Thomas Raat. The show exhibits the works from an international group of artists in the context of the famed Maison van Doesburg, the work and livingspace nearby Paris designed in the late 20s by De Stijl-founder Theo van Doesburg. Sadly he passed before the house was finished, but it remains a creative space to this day, where van Ark and Raat now live and work as “artist in residence”. The Coup De Foudre exhibition focuses on the transformation of the “avant garde” concept, 100 years after the inception of De Stijl, and blurs the lines between showcasing art and living with art.
