    Now aged 77, Tokyo-born-and-based Nobuyoshi Araki is one of the most iconic artists of our time, revered across disciplines from art to fashion and film. A highly prolific photographer and artist—he has published around 500 books—Araki has collaborated with fellow photographers including Nan Goldin and Juergen Teller, as well as pop-celebrities such as Björk and Lady Gaga.

  • OSKAR BARNACK AWARD 2017

    An international jury annually awards the Leica Oskar Barnack Award to professional photographers whose unerring powers of observation capture and express the relationship between man and the environment in the most graphic form. Around 2700 photographers from a total of 104 different countries submitted their entries in a sequence of up to 12 images. On September 13th, the two winners and the ten finalists of the 2017 award have been honored. The works from all twelve finalists are now on view until 15 October 2017 in the context of an exhibition at the ‘Neuen Schule für Fotografie’, Berlin.

  • MERT ALAS AND MARCUS PIGGOTT

    Fashion photographers Mert and Marcus are renown for their powerful portraits of women like Adriana Lima, Björk, Kate Moss and Scarlett Johansson, shaping the global image for brands such as Fendi, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy. Their photographs encompass a wide range of styles and influences but are renowned particularly for their use of digitized augmentation of images. Art book publisher Taschen has produced a 408-page book designed in collaboration with creative fashion director Giovanni Bianco, documenting and exploring the unique vision created by the duo that has defined and redefined standards for fashion photography.   • PATTA x PATTY&BUN: UMBRO CUP RECAP

    Patta and Patty & Bun in collaboration with Umbro held the first edition of the annual Umbro Cup, a fussball tournament celebrating London's most exciting collectives and communities. The teams from Kurupt FM, Pussy Palace, Patty & Bun, Patta, The Move Mag & GRM Daily were heavyweight contenders for the cup, but team Patta ended up taking the victory home. With a great view on the rooftop at Netil 360, drinks by Wray & Nephew and burgers by Patty & Bun it was a great day to chill and connect and we're looking forward to do it again next year!

  • A MASTERPIECE IN THE MAKING: LEICA M10

    Serious photographers know all about Leica's legendary status and what arguably makes them the best cameras money can buy, but HOW are they made? Video director and photographer Richard Seymour created a nice video providing a behind-the-scenes look at the factory in Wetzlar, Germany and the assembly process of a Leica M10 camera, which consists of 1,100 individual components and base plates milled from solid blocks of metal which specialists spend 40 minutes grinding and polishing by hand. Check out the amazing craftsmanship below.

  • MENNO KOK - MARVELOUS PERSONA EXHIBITION

    Featuring portraits of family, friends, intimate strangers, nudes and landscapes, the expo ‘Marvelous Persona’ is an ode to everyone who stood before his lens. As a sixteen year old, Menno got his hands on his first analogue camera and almost instantaneously collecting memories became second nature. ‘Marvelous Persona’ reveals perspective on the world around him; it showcases works from the first film roll he shot in 1988, to his most recent shot in 2017. Ranging from the classic nude and snapshots en-route to polaroids and post-modern mugshots.
