Following up on J Dilla's forthcoming posthumous album "The Diary" set for release on April 15, Dilla's mom Ma Dukes Yancey will celebrate Mother's Day by re-releasing her son's "Jay Love Japan" project a month later on May 6. Bootlegs, promos and semi-official retail versions of the album have circulated for several years due to legalities with Dilla's estate. The album was given a 2006 release in Japan, although that version is now considered a promo item. In 2007 it was finally officially released. This re-release comes with additional tracks including “The Look,” and “Sun In My Face” featuring Blu and Miguel. The latter song first surfaced 8 years ago, when a then unknown Miguel went under the alias Jontel. Listen to both tracks below.
