KEITH HARING CANVAS RETURNS TO THE STEDELIJK

On October 12, the velum painted by Keith Haring (1958-1990) will finally be back on display again at the Stedelijk Museum. The American artist painted the canvas, which filters daylight into the grand hallway, especially for his solo exhibition at the Stedelijk back in 1986. For this show, Haring didn’t simply want to present artwork he’d already made – he insisted on making new work. Now, more than thirty years later and restored, the velum is back for everyone to enjoy. The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam will organize a Friday Night program that will honor the return of the Keith Haring canvas with a minilecture, interviews and artist talks. More info HERE.
