Putting their city on the map, particularly their neck of the woods of South London, is UK’s hardest rap duo, Krept & Konan. What started out as a pun on Twitter that the rappers open their own restaurant, has now officially become a reality. Patta was there to partake in the festivities, peep some photos of the opening weekend here.

With the help of the Mayor of Croydon, Toni Letts, the opening saw hundreds of eager dining fans queuing up on a grey and wet Saturday 12 May along South End in South Croydon — a neighboring town to Thornton Heath and Gipsy Hill, where Krept & Konan were born and raised respectively.

Alongside the rappers was restaurant co-owner and fellow British artist, J2K, all at hand to serve food and drinks to customers as well as pose for pictures during the opening weekend.

Their business venture is a shining example to the next generation that anything is achievable if you put the work in. “We only had P Diddy and Jay-Z to look up to back then,” says J2K. Atop of that, the restaurant's creating job opportunities and boosting the community.

The restaurant, which describes itself as “not your average dessert spot”, sells a range of food including crepes, waffles, grilled food, chicken, burgers, ribs and hot dogs. Check out Crepes n Cones for yourself:
