In the early 1980’s Nike started moving into the great outdoors with Nike Hiking. By changing the traditional hiking standards with bright colours, lightweight fabrics and introducing Gore-Tex to shoe design, they moved forward from their well-known sports aesthetic.

This major interest in the outdoors snowballed into a whole new range of outdoor products, ACG (All Conditions Gear). Where Nike Hiking, as the name suggests, was still based around trekking, ACG went fully throttle into rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, snowboarding and pretty much any other outdoor activity.

Thirty years later Nike is celebrating ACG in three ways: retro prints, introducing women styles & the return of the three-step layer system.

The Spring 2019 Nike ACG collection was visualised by Olya Oleinic with Devaniyo, Yael & Hailey.
The full collection will be available in store at Patta Amsterdam and online on Thursday February 21st.
