Patta is pleased to announce that we have partnered with Nike for a temporary pop-up store in the heart of Amsterdam that will be the home to the most anticipated Air Max releases, but also special projects and events curated by local talents during the month of March.
ON AIR will be open from March 8 to March 26 at Zeedijk 22, and will be one of very few stores in the world to stock some of the most exclusive sneakers from this year's Air Max Day collection.
Air Max Day is particularly special in 2017 as it marks the 30th anniversary of the original Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Max 1 and the advent of ‘visible air’ cushioning.
Fittingly, the release of the Air Max 1 Anniversary kicks things off on the opening day of ON AIR. Featuring the original shape of the Air Max 1 it will drop in two of the three 1987 colorways – red and white and blue and white.
Also dropping is the Air Max 1 Master, a sneaker boasting aspects of 11 renowned Air Max designs, three of them being different collaborations with local Amsterdam icon Piet Parra and Patta.
On the final day the launch of the VaporMax, featuring its revolutionary new cushioning system, will close the show in style and provide a telling glimpse into the future of this much-loved Nike staple.
Demand is expected to be huge, and while long lines are a distinct possibility, ON AIR have a few surprises to keep people excited. Music and photo exhibitions, panel discussions and a special project by TNO will transform the space into a creative hub for the sneaker community.

Nike Air Max 1 Master
The 30th anniversary edition of the Air Max 1 meshes take-outs from the most appreciated styles in Air Max history. Nike Air Max 1 atmos Elephant
First launched in 2006 as a collaboration with famed Japanese retailer atmos, this sneaker became coveted the world over. Air Max fans took their chance to bring it back when it swept the Air Max Day 2016 Vote Back campaign poll.
