An international jury annually awards the Leica Oskar Barnack Award to professional photographers whose unerring powers of observation capture and express the relationship between man and the environment in the most graphic form. Around 2700 photographers from a total of 104 different countries submitted their entries in a sequence of up to 12 images. On September 13th, the two winners and the ten finalists of the 2017 award have been honored. The works from all twelve finalists are now on view until 15 October 2017 in the context of an exhibition at the ‘Neuen Schule für Fotografie’, Berlin.
