Fall is around the corner and this means that the weather is getting colder. For those cozy days our very own Danny made a playlist and answered some questions to get to know him better.
Who are you, and where are you from?
My name is Danny Haryono, I'm a prominent business leader and a highly sought after dinner guest, D&D enthusiast, TV series and Movie Kingmaker and Snapchat personality.
What is your relationship with Patta and when/where did it start?
I work there and it started back in '05 or '06 when I started working at Ben-G's, the skate shop that we used to share the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 142 location with. A couple years passed and I left in '07 to work in a restaurant, after a while Edson and Tim asked me if I wanted to work of them because some of the other guys were starting Patta Distribution. That was in 2008, so about eight years ago, but family since '05 I guess.
What is your function in Patta?
I am a bit of everywhere within the company. I've done sales on the floor, I managed the webshop and customer service for a while and I oversee all back office activities, but really my main job is the production and the distribution of the brand.
What keeps you occupied on a daily basis?
Basically, I do a lot of planning and back and forth communication with the factories and agents that we work with. I set the deadlines on the creative parts of the business and then communicate what our designers expect from the factories/agents and vice versa. Besides work I like to watch English Football, binge watch TV shows on Netflix and put reviews on Snapchat, play Dota2 horribly and doing long walks on the beach with my girlfriend.
Which music artists are you currently listening to and would you recommend others?
Just click on any song of the playlist.
What is your best power piece at the moment? (clothing, collectors item etc)
I don't know? I mean I have this cool One Piece Tony Tony Chopper toy that I never took out the box? Maybe it's a collector's item.
What is your favourite visual at the moment and why? (art, photography, videos)
Currently re-reading Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley's Invincible. It's an Image Comics Universe series about this kid Mark who is the son of a Superman like superhero and he gets superpowers of his own and makes his way and grows up to be the world's greatest hero. It sounds pretty lame, but the series was created as a means for Kirkman to play with and reinvent certain comic book tropes. I like how the series just finds new and unexpected shit to happen, it's a great piece of work where likeable characters die, heroes give up and villains sometimes win.
Also, I really like Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's Shokugeki No Soma. My friend Patrick put me on this (shout out to Otakaolo, maar Patje wanneer dan?) a while ago. Basically, the anime/manga is about this kid who wants to be the greatest cook on the planet. He goes to this super competitive school where the characters battle each other via cooking wars. So, just like in other animes like Dragonball or Naruto, these guys are fighting each other, but with food. And just like in real life when you eat great food, your clothes burst off your body and it feels like you're running around in a field of flowers... I know this doesn't make any sense, so just go watch/read the series.
