Leading up to our collaboration with Oko Ebombo on a special t-shirt in support of his forthcoming Muchacho Junior Tour and live show at De School in Amsterdam, We had a little chat with him to get to know him and find out what he is up to!
Who are you, and where are you from?
I'm Oko, born and raised in Paris, member of the pain o chokolat collective. I started in the field of dance, as student and professor.
What keeps you occupied on a daily basis?
I travel most of the time. When I'm in Paris, I spend my time at the studio, I take dance classes and I work on various projects.
How did you get into your diverse forms of performance art?
I started with dancing, and later I got into theatre. I took photography classes, which lead me to video, video lead me to music to close the loop.
What can we expect at your show in De School?
What is your favourite visual at the moment and why?
Cy twombly's paintings are coming to my mind, there is a retrospective at Centre Beaubourg in Paris at the moment which is spectacular. For his rawness and modernity.

What is your favourite travel destination?
