Patta is proud to present its second exclusive collaboration with critically acclaimed photographer Dana Lixenberg. The Dutch-born photographer who currently lives and works in New York and Amsterdam, studied photography at the London College of Printing and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
Lixenberg is renowned for portraying people from all layers of society in their pure form, drawing out the humanity of her subjects. She pursues long-term projects, with a primary focus on individuals and communities on the margins of society. In addition, she has gained international fame through her work for publications such as Newsweek, Vibe, New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker and Rolling Stone.
The previous Patta x Dana Lixenberg collaboration contained portraits of Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace and Tupac “2Pac” Amaru Shakur. For the second edition in this ongoing series, we have selected a portrait of Noam Chomsky, "the father of modern linguistics" and a major figure in analytic philosophy. The other image is of the iconic Hip-Hop formation and central part of the Native Tongues collective, A Tribe Called Quest. Coinciding with this release, you can visit Dana's current exhibition "imperial Courts". Find out more about that HERE.
The limited edition, hand-numbered T-shirts come in sizes XS-XXL and retail for €55,00 each. Available in store and online Friday, January 15.
