The Hip-Hop community worldwide mourns the passing of Mobb Deep's Prodigy. As one half of the legendary rap duo Mobb Deep, Prodigy played an integral part in the Queensbridge movement during the 90s. Alongside fellow artists like Nas, Tragedy, Capone-N-Noreaga, they would all contribute to put Queensbridge at the center of the rap universe and in turn, define the sound of New York Hip-Hop at the time. The 1995 Mobb Deep sophomore album "The Infamous" is highly regarded in Hip-Hop history and widely influenced artists spanning across generations. Prodigy also released a slew of solo and collaborative projects, further cementing his name in the genre's history books.
