The first edition of the Bijlmer Run
On Saturday, July 2nd, Patta Foundation will be hosting the very first edition of the Bijlmer Run.
The course runs right through Amsterdam-Zuidoost and takes you past everything that makes the Bijlmer so beautiful, creative and diverse. Along the way, spectators in cheer zones provide celebration and encouragement towards an unforgettable finish location.
The Bijlmer Run consists of three events. Starting with the team run. A relay where participants will run a half marathon in a team of 4. This is about 5.25 kilometre per person. In other words, invite your friends, family and colleagues to participate in this unique and beautiful run together. After this, it is time for the children’s run. Participation in the children’s run is free and is approximately 1 kilometre.
The last part is the half marathon. Competitors and recreational runners will run a half marathon on a measured course. There are 500 spots. In collaboration with Global Sports Communications, some national and international top runners will also appear at the starting Line.
The start and finish of each part will be Anton de Komplein. The square will be hosting a big running party all day with performances, food trucks and a bar.
Registration opens Friday, April 22. There is room for 250 teams and 500 half marathon runners. Be quick, be a finisher and be at the first edition of the Bijlmer Run!
