LAGOS SKATEPARK CROWDFUNDING

Lagos based skate store WafflesnCream and a group of Nigerian skaters recently started a GoFundMe campaign to build West-Africa's first skatepark. As one of the first & only skate shops in the region, WafflesnCream has been promoting skateboarding in Lagos for the past four years.

Since the city only has a few spots to skate available in the city, and the quarter pipe they built has been broken down and thrown away, they want to raise £35,000 to build a concrete park with expert skate ramp builders. With this money, they're able to put pressure on the Lagos state to release the land, maintain the park and buy decks to distribute to the community.
