The Mizuno line-up of classics, with its seemingly never-ending family tree, celebrates roots with the arrival of another Mondo Control, partnering up with Patta to exclusively roll out the model’s second OG colorway. A quite fitting partnership, the sneaker store’s characteristically playful aesthetics and three international locations lend a perfect home for the retro make-up.
Quietly reminiscent of Newport cigarettes or even the Miami Dolphins, the pair is dressed in what could easily allude to a vast assortment of different inspirations. Hits of deep, sultry greens see major use at the entirety of the mesh fabrication while branded embroidery and bottom treads stick to a more saturated orange shade; soles, as well as the smooth leathers of the overlays and profile logo, are left a blank white with accent notes at the top line and lace unit suited up in smooth navy.
