Introduced in 1971, the Desert Trek only added fuel to the burning fire of Clarks’ Jamaican following. Being heavily represented within ska, reggae and dancehall thanks to rudeboys running those scenes, the Patta Clarks Desert Trek is our tribute to the silhouette’s heritage. Anchoring the shoe is Clarks’ revered crepe sole, cut thick for prolonged durability with enough elasticity for shock-absorbing comfort. An extra layer hits the top of the outsole with further cushioning, and contrast stitching in black ties the silky white leather upper and patent leather side panelling tight to the outsole, reverberating that bold rudeboy styling. Running down the centre, and heavily dictating low-cut hiking silhouette is more contrast black stitching to match the black laces at the throat but also optional is white or a stand-out red option for the showier-inclined folk. Finalising the release on the heel is the trekman, affectionately taken to the hearts of Jamaicans who’ve redubbed it the “Bank Robber” and our Patta Script Logo supports it with the same debossed finish on the side.
