Contact High: A Visual History of Hip-Hop

On August 11, 2023, hip-hop is 50 years old. To celebrate, the American photo exhibition 'Contact High: A Visual History of Hip-Hop' is on view for the first time in Europe from 11 - 26th of August at the Ferro Gashouder in Rotterdam. As well as iconic photography that brought hip-hop’s visual culture to the global stage, the exhibition features exclusive and unedited contact sheets, including Barron Claiborne's famous Notorious B.I.G. portraits and Janette Beckman's image-defining photos of Salt-n-Pepa.
