This year we are celebrating 50 years of Hip-Hop, a great opportunity to delve deeper into its roots. Patta has deep ties to hip-hop, and for this occasion, Patta's Edson had a conversation with Fab 5 Freddy, legend and Creative Director of traveling exhibition “Contact High". See full conversation below.

In August, Hiphophuis, Revolt and John106 joined forces to celebrate the 50th birthday of Hip Hop Culture. An epic celebration and a mark in history. Hosting the exhibition “CONTACT HIGH” at the Ferro Gashouder in Rotterdam, the expo took us back to the origins of the energy that Hip Hop was built upon.

“They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but with hip-hop that’s a serious understatement. Contact High explores four decades of iconic photography from the late 1970s to today, documenting a revolution not just in music but in politics, race relations, fashion, and culture. Through more than 170 images of its most influential artists—Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, and Queen Latifah just for starters—Contact High celebrates hip-hop's evolution, connecting us with the peak experiences, personalities, and places that have shaped the world’s most popular music genre.” Find out more at www.contacthighproject.com
