Patta x Rapha Lookbook

The two community-driven brands have come together to increase representation and diversity in cycling with a brand new team, Patta Cycling. Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Patta is launching its first Patta Cycling Team collection in collaboration with leading cycling clothing brand, Rapha. The launch follows the announcement of the Patta Cycling Team - an Amsterdam-based amateur cycling squad determined to increase representation and diversity in the sport. Formed with a mission to inspire people of all backgrounds to take to two wheels, the Patta Cycling Team has partnered with Rapha to create role models that inspire the next generation of cyclists while making the sport accessible to anyone, however and wherever they choose.

The Patta + Rapha kit and cycling team logo is designed by Patta’s Creative Director Vincent van de Waal, the on-bike collection brings together Patta’s trademark style with Rapha’s expertise in cycling performance. The kit sports multiple elements that convey Patta's fearless approach to taking on new challenges. At the heart of the hexagonal team crest is a gecko, chosen for its speed and flamboyant appearance. The team’s motto, “one more road to cross”, inspired by the DMX track of the same name, has been translated into Sranan Tongo to pay homage to the Surinam heritage of Patta’s founders. The placement of the fist symbolizes black empowerment and dedication to enhancing inclusivity and variety in the sport of cycling. The result of the collaboration is a kit that encapsulates Patta + Rapha’s shared mission to inspire people of all backgrounds to embrace the cycling lifestyle.

The first Patta Cycling Team collection includes Men’s & Women’s Pro Team Training Jerseys, Men’s & Women’s Pro Team Cargo Bib Shorts, Men’s & Women’s Technical T-Shirt, Pro Team Socks and Cap.
