GOTHICS IN NIGERIA EXHIBITION

On Saturday February 9th, delve into the sunlit darkness of goth subculture in the metropolis of Lagos, as portrayed through the lenses of Jan Hoek and frequent Patta collaborator Stephen Tayo. The two hotshot photographers explored the community's members coming out of the shadows for The New York Times and present the work at Corrosia Theater in Almere-Haven. Featuring an installation and soundscape by Joeri Woudstra, Rik Laging and Thijs Jaeger, with special guest artist Viresh Paltie.

HOP ON THE GOTH BUS
Join the exhibition opening and hop on the (goth) bus, taking you safely from Amsterdam to Almere and back. Drinks, It wouldn't be a goth bus if there wasn't any entertainment. Drinks, music and photographers Jan and Stephen, telling you all about their project and the Nigerian goths. Q&A by We Are Public curator Manique Hendricks. The bus departs at 15:15 h at Piarcoplein at Amsterdam Sloterdijk – international busline. 

 
Exhibition runs from Saturday the 9th of February until the 25th of May.
