Puma

After Rudolf Dassler parted ways with his Brother Adolf in 1948, he founded his own company RUDA and moved across the Aurach river so as to draw a line between his brother's company adidas and his own. The name RUDA changed to Puma a few months later and the rivalry was on in full fledge. Soon, the brand made a huge impact sponsoring members of the West German national football team and many Olympic medal winners. Besides athletics, the impact of Puma on pop culture cannot be ignored either, as the Suede and the Clyde played huge parts in the birth of hip-hop and b-boy culture in the 80's.
