Last year, pioneering Director Steve McQueen delivered Small Axe, an award-winning anthology of movies based on the personal stories that happened in the West Indian migrant communities in London between the 1960s and 1980s. Received with critical acclaim after its release, the series of feature-length narratives depicts experiences felt by many of the intersectional experiences from people of colour who called London their home during a transitional period of British culture.
